When do you suppose we're going to be blown away by ANYONE'S performance, like Fantasia's Summertime (the red dress one)???
I suppose I'm antsy, cause it's too early from any of them to begin believing they're 'the one.'
I hope we get one of those rare instances where something truly magical comes through the contestent.

Not during Rod Stewart week, that's for damn sure.

I disagree.
The Rod Stewart night will be the best show so far. It's not going to be his music, it's going to be a night of classic standards. Everyone that is left will do well with the selections... except maybe Kellie, unless she digs into some Patsy Cline. But this will be Katharine, Taylor, and Paris' night. Remember Paris' audition of Billie Holiday's Take Five? ... her best performance yet, and it was her audition.
Ace and Elliott can look forward to Diana Ross night.
Chris, as much as I like him, will be interesting on either night!

After the last couple of weeks, I don't think any of them really will make it that big. Kind of like picking the one that does not mess up as much as the rest.

I've been blown away once this season- when Elliott sang Moody's Mood for Love, but that was so early on, people seem to have forgotten it.

Ditto.
Not that I haven't been very entertained by some of the performances, but blown away? Exactly once.

Interesting, that performance blew me away as well, and I still love listening to it! I also really liked Katharine's 'Until You Come Back to

Same here....I was so mesmerized, I forgot to turn the recorder on! I should find some place to download that. He won my undying devotion with that one performance.

Unless they are going to sing what made Rod Stewart popular, nah, I'm not going to be blown away. All I want are new renditions completely different from Stewart's. That's what makes it interesting. So far, no one has gone to that distance.

The problem is that AI cramps everyone's styles by forcing them into this little box where they have to sing songs by a particular artist. If they just had eras or categories to choose from where they had a pleothra of songs, then it would be a different story.

The only time I was blown away was when Taylor sang 'levon'
