...I liked this week's show!!
Katharine was great. Paris (yes, Paris) was very good. This was her niche. And for the first time all season I liked what Chris brought. I've said all along, and still believe, that Chris should tone things down. He's better suited to being more subdued singer. Kellie was unbelievably terrible. And Ace was painful. Elliot sounded OK, but was his usual awkward self on stage and looks more and more like Shaggy's evil twin from Scooby Doo each week. Taylor is getting a little boring, but turned in a decent workman-like performance.
Oh, and, not only were most of the performances worth listening to, but most of the judges' commentary was right on. Another shocker.
My rankings for the week:
1. Katharine 2. Paris 3. Taylor 4. Chris

Seems to have difficulty in the lower range, but did well for just standing there and belting out a boring song.
The only faults I find with Paris are personal; too young, dresses oddly, speaks like a Munchkin, picks odd tunes, etc. but she's got the best, most polished and professional voice in the contest.
Taylor does well, but is it well enough to win? I don't know. Last night was good, but a bit boring for me. I'd place him below Chris.
Perhaps it was just the songs, but I felt Chris was also bored with his tune; the guy just likes a different genre, nothing wrong with that - but he held his own.
Elliott seems to be losing it - he's seemed a bit more 'shaky' in his delivery recently. I thought the Big 'E-man' would hit this one out of the park, instead we got a stolen third.
After figuring out what he'd done with the hair, I thought he did well. Still, nothing Ace has done has shown much of a range, except that wussy sounding falsetto Raula keeps wetting themselves over. Perhaps someone needs to remind Paula of all the recent hits which have been produced in, 'All falsetto' as she encouraged Ace to do.
I didn't think she did that badly, but I agree that it was bad enough to be in this last slot.
Based on just last night's performance: Kellie
Based on overall performance to date: Ace
