On E! news tonight Queen said 'They butchered our songs. But that's okay.' Then mumbled something after that. Did anyone catch that? The show will repeat sometime tomorrow morning. My impression is they knew these kids didn't have a choice about doing their songs and are willing to cut them some slack. No one can top Freddy and shouldn't be forced to try.

It's the other way around. Queen butchered the show. Who's idea was that anyway? They had some memorable hits, but nothing worth doing the show around. Queen got the best end of the deal. Those hacks who are nothing without Freddie will make a few bucks off it.

I never saw them perform, but they did release a new song in 2002 that hit #45 on the Billboard charts.

I won't know until I get to hear the rest of what they said. It repeats tomorrow morning, so maybe I can catch it then.

American Idol,
Next time use 'The Village People.' They might be more appreciative of a much-needed career boost.

Did you know there is a musical called 'We Will Rock You' based on the songs of Queen that's had long sell-out engagements in London, Las Vegas and touring?
