If I recall correctly I believe they said next weeks theme is 'love songs' I imagine most of the other singers will do well... But Chris is going to be out of his element...

At least that's what my original thought was. Then I thought about it abit more... maybe he could pull off a some like 'You give love a bad name' by Bon Jovi?

Just a thought... what do you folks think?

What about that love song that Extreme did back in the early 90's 'Only Words'?

Since the theme is 'classic love songs', I doubt Bon Jovi will be on the list .

I'm curious to see what the heck they'll have them sing. What qualifies as a classic love song?

I thought it was 'greatest love songs.' I like the idea of Chris and 'Unchained Melody.'

It's a pretty tune, but what made 'More than words' so good, imo, was the harmony.

For Chris, I would try something like 'Beth' by Kiss or some other 'love' song that a hard rock group sang. Perhaps the people voting for Chris would forgive him for doing some sappy love song, but if it was originally done by a rocker. 'Wonderful Tonight' by Clapton could be a good choice, but that may be too slow.

You never know though, perhaps Chris has a penchant for something really goofy like 'Close to you' by the Carpenters.

He should take a shot at 'I Remember You' by Skid Row. If he can do a decent job on that song, he'll earn my respect. He could also pick a Meatloaf anthem song, like 'Two Our of Three Ain't Bad' or 'You Took The Words Right Out Of Mouth'.

It is my hope that TPTB do not allow 'rock love songs'. The renditions should be of the ballad type to, again, force the contestants to sing clearly without resorting to theatrics. We all know that Chris can do the hard heavy rock crap, but the jury is still out on the softer songs. Another round with this genre might sway a few votes his way.
