I actually felt a little protctive of Kellie because Simon was so absolutley gross about her - not just the 'naughty little minx' comment, but the look of naked lust he gave her over the rim of his plastic Coke cup immediately afterward. The reason I put Katharine dead last was not because she hit the least amount of notes or went sharp or flat, etc... but it was because of the unmitigated hubris she had to take on an Aretha Franklin song, bleed it dry of any funk or soul or life, perform it without the least bit of style or emotion, as though she were performing 'Thank Heaven For Little Girls,' and then stand there and act like she's just re-invented the song and we should all be grateful. Those are some big cojones and that's why I ranked her at the bottom.

i agree with that...you cannot take on aretha and not have the attitude to back it up...however...she has proven in the past that she is capable of performing an emotionally incredible song...something that actually draws you in....kinnik has done nothing of the sort...she misses notes left and right and changes her image so much i can't even tell what she represents...i wanted kinnik out from the first week:-O...
