I only caught a couple minutes before I *had* to change the channel. I've had enough trouble getting to sleep since we started Daylight Savings...didn't need visions of Mikalah Gordon giving me nightmares.
You gotta be kidding me!. ROFL! I really liked Mandisa, but I'm *so* glad Elliott's the one who was safe.
Well, pass the flask and call me 'Paula', because I agree with Randy!
Still letting the irony of THAT one sink in...

Shit shit shit- I forgot the most important one. They interviewed Byrd and she alluded to the fact that Queen themselves, minus Paul Rodgers, were going to actually back the Idols onstage on Tuesday. I forget exactly what she said, but it was something to the effect of- they've been rehearsing with Queen and have been so excited being able to sing with them, but nervous having them back them (or something) so Ty Treadway asked her outright- Are the Idols going to be singing on Tuesday with Queen playing with them and Byrd got a sly smile on her face and said- You'll just have to tune in and see. I also got the idea that Rodgers might be guest judging along with RPS, but that I'm only speculating on based on a couple off the cuff comments and could be way off base about.
In any case, this oughta be good. And by good I mean a disaster.

Mandisa said she would miss Kellie, her apartment-mate, and the long talks they had 'curled up on the bed' - or something to that effet. I thought this was curious because a few weeks ago Kellie and Katherine were roommates were they not? Why the switch if they were getting along so well? (remembering the video sequence they made a few weeks ago with Katherine and Kellie rolling around on the bed together)

Flock, I dunno about you but I think that's a pretty terrible show. The host, from SoapNet is really a Seacrest wannabe. Using ex-Idol contestants as 'reporters' is really good stunt casting but poor production as they aren't carrying the camera work off very well.
I had better hopes for the show. Now, if I catch it, ok but if I miss it, no big deal.

Damning with faint praise. I keep telling all of you that Paris is the best: managed, handled, polished and cunning performer of all the contestants, IMHO. Even the t-shirt was meant to get votes.

I'd say confident.
However, I was surprised that they did not ask her about the gay issue. That was wrong.
She can forget about the backup job with Manilow, IMHO. I don't think he would risk his subgroup of gay fans by employing her.

Even if that is true, Bob, when was the last time a young teenager was really that big of a long lasting pop hit? Other than MJ, that is.

Cal, yes - it did strike me as rather arrogant, although I was just as struck by the bit about Elliott having a chance to pray, as though she was relieved to have saved one more 'wayward soul' along the way. Maybe it's just me, but it seemed a tad presumptuous on *both* levels. I guess she can't help working her faith into the discussion. And you're right, she is still just a kid. But with Mom and Grandma (aka, 'The Legends' coaching her, I'm not sure she'll develop much of an ability for introspection, unfortunately. We'll see.

Moni, the long term is not as important, right now to the contestants, than is winning! No one on this year's AI is more geared in everything (s)he does than is Team Paris.
That is the force to be reckoned with in AI.

Speaking of the casting, for a minute I almost thought they'd hired Will Sasso from MAD TV as a reporter, but alas, it was only Matt Rogers. Does anyone remember that drunken Kenny Rogers bit Will Sasso used to do? Ah, if only they could have gotten Matt Rogers to do that, I might not have changed the channel.
I think I'm starting to feel that way about the performance shows, too. Queen week had better deliver on its promise of So-Bad-It's-Good-ness.
